Koscielny hopes Lorient will be fair over transfer fee to Arsenal

It seems that our movement in the transfer market for Laurent Koscielny could soon be coming to a successful conclusion - if we can agree a transfer fee with Lorient.

This one has been going on for weeks, but its looks like Arsene Wenger might finally get his man.

The French club signed the defender last summer for €1.5m and this summer they are looking to quadruple that.

I would suggest that four times what you paid for someone last summer would be fair compensation but anything higher is taking it too far.

Koscielny has no international experience and one season in Ligue 1.

The People suggest the French club are holding out for £12.5million.
He said:
"I hope the club will not set the bar too high.
"There has been talk of Lorient wanting 15 million euros, which is a lot for a defender with just one season's experience in Ligue 1 and no international caps.
"They must not scare off Arsenal with these amounts they ask for."
Lets hope this one is wrapped up before the end of the World Cup and prior to Arsenal returning for pre-season.
