Confirmed: Squillaci to have Arsenal medical on Monday

Sevilla Football Club has confirmed defender Sebastien Squillaci will fly to London tonight ahead of a medical at Arsenal.

The French defender will have the examination at London Colney ahead of signing a deal believe to be in the region of £6million.

An agreement was reached today for the  30-year-old which will see him become Arsene Wenger's third first team signing of the summer.

Squillaci pulled himself out of the Champions League qualifier the Spanish team played against Sporting Braga after hearing Arsenal had made an enquiry about him.

Squillaci joined Sevilla FC two seasons ago, from Olympique Lyon having previously played for Monaco.
