Diaby fails to recover from injury for West Ham clash

Abou Diaby has failed to recover from an ankle injury in time to be included in the Arsenal squad which is preparing to take on West Ham tomorrow.

The midfielder was due to start against Manchester City last weekend but pulled out prior to the game with a reoccurrence of the injury which has plagued him this season.

Arsene Wenger was unable to tell those attending his lunchtime press conference how long the French midfielder would be out.

Diaby was an unused substitue against Shakhtar Donetsk on Eduardo's return to the Grove on October 19. He played 90 minutes in the 2-1 victory against Birmingham City, three days before.
