Arsenal v Wigan: Arsene Wenger's starting 11

Arsene Wenger opts for an attacking line up for Arsenal's quarter final Carling Cup tie with Wigan.

Robin Van Persie returns and captains the team which also includes the likes of Theo Walcott, Nicklas Bendtner and Carlos Vela.

Jack Wilshere is preferred in midfield to Craig Eastmond who has to settle for a place on the bench.

There is no room in the squad for Manuel Almunia and young England star James Shea takes the goal keeping slot on the bench.

There is experience on the bench as Arsene Wenger can call on Andrey Arshavin and Samir Nasri.

The starting line up is:
Szczesny, Eboue, Djourou, Koscielny, Gibbs, Wilshere, Denilson, Walcott, Van Persie, Vela, Bendtner.

Subs: Shea (GK), Sagna, Nordtveit, Eastmond, Nasri, Arshavin, Emmanuel-Thomas.
