Arsene Wenger has to big decision to make this afternoon

Arsene Wenger has a big decision to make in his team selection for the match this lunchtime against Aston Villa.

With Cesc Fabregas out, the captain's ideal replacement in the middle of the attacking three is Samir Nasri.

The Frenchman has arguably been out best performer this season with eight goals already this term, so it would be surprising if the manager didn't move Nasri central.

That creates the question as to who he will station on the right hand side of the attacking three.

Tomas Rosicky has had a bright start to the season and his industry brings a lot to the team. But where he lets himself down is with his goal scoring record. He's not put the ball in the back of the net since last season wearing an Arsenal shirt.

However when he has come into the side he has mainly operated  on the left hand side. Not his ideal position but one where he can still influence play. He does however come inside more when playing on the left to play the ball with his stronger right foot.

What I love about Rosicky is his ability to run at players. He's not afraid to travel with the ball, unlike some of his team mates.

The other likely candidate is Theo Walcott.

He enjoyed a blistering start to the season. But since his injury he's found it hard to get back into the starting 11.

Walcott seems slightly off the pace and his early season sharpness seems to have disappeared as does his goal scoring.

That was what was so exciting about Walcott when he started the season. He found a new dimension in his game during pre season which surprised a lot of Gooners.

He was spurred on by his World Cup disappointment and put in more hours on the training pitch. That's looked to make a big difference in his performances in a red and white shirt.

My preference would be for Walcott to start this game. I think he needs more games to start finding his match sharpness. Plus his pace will prove an asset.

I doubt there will be many changes from the team which faced Tottenham.

Fabianski will continue in goal. Sagna, Squillaci, Djourou and Clichy, who could be a fitness doubt with his back injury which kept him out of the trip to Braga.

In midfield, I expect we'll see Song and Wilshere, with Denilson missing out.

In the attacking three, Walcott, Nasri and the returning Arshavin. That will leave Chamakh to lead the line.

My prediction of the starting 11:

Sagna - Squillaci - Djourou - Clichy

Song - Wilshere

Walcott - Nasri - Arshavin

I'll post the team line up once it's announced. Come on you Gooners!
