Brazilian teenage sensation Wellington has revealed Arsene Wenger is to speak with FIFA "so I can get released for the season in 2011".
The 17-year-old, who will officially become an Arsenal player when he turns 18 in January, has been training with the club for a number of week.
This week he was caught on camera training with the first team squad ahead of last night's Champions League game.
A deal with Brazilian side Fluminense is tied up and the teenager has already been granted a 'special talent' work visa.
Wellington said on Twitter:
"I hope to get a phone call tomorrow and some great news. I know GOD is with me and everything will be fine."Later adding following messages of support from his followers:
"Thanks you all for wishing me good luck. I'm anxious but calm at the same time. I know I'll be released. I need to hear it from them."
