Arsene Wenger confirms Robin van Persie will miss Barcelona clash

Robin van Persie will miss Arsenal's Champions League tie with Barcelona and will be out for up to three weeks with a knee injury.

The striker picked up the injury whilst scoring Arsenal's equaliser.

He played on until being replaced in the 68th minute by Nicklas Bendtner.

Van Persie will miss the Gunners game a week today at the Camp Nou, as well as Arsenal's FA Cup replay with Leyton Orient on Wednesday night.

Wenger told Arsenal TV Online on Tuesday afternoon:
“Unfortunately, we had bad news on the scan and he will be out for the next three weeks for sure.
“It could be longer. The shortest delay we can imagine is three weeks [so] he is definitely out for Barcelona."
