Wenger: Djourou could play again for Arsenal this season

Arsene Wenger hopes that Johan Djourou will now only miss the next six weeks of action rather than being out for the season.

The manager told his lunchtime media conference the Swiss international could now play in the title run in, if his recovery from a dislocated shoulder goes according to plan.

Wenger said:
"Johan Djourou is out for at least six weeks.
"There is a little chance [he could play this season].

"He has an arthroscopic on Monday and we'll know more the damage that is in his shoulder.

"But anyway we hope that we'll have good news but no matter what happens he'll be out for six weeks."
