Embarrassing: Until Wenger sorts out the defence we're doomed

I can't begin to describe how embarrassed I am by this Arsenal team. Three defensive howlers cost us any sort of result at the Britannia.

Johan Djourou - after such a good season - had a total nightmare at fault for probably all three of the Stoke goals.

Perhaps the Swiss international has played too many games or wasn't fully fit, but he's looked poor in our past two away games; today at Stoke and two weeks ago against Bolton.

I've long been of the opinion that we've needed five central defenders to fully compete in the league. Four plus a reserve team player isn't good enough.

Another player who drifts from excellent to woeful performance is Alex Song. Until he's got competition in the squad his consistency can be allowed to drift by the manager because he's got no one who will come in and play that role.

If there was a player who would fight with Song for that spot, I'm sure that the Cameroon international would be more focused.

The formation also doesn't suit some of our attacking players and Wenger must sacrifice it when we have the personal who can play 4-4-2.

Why play Nicklas Bendtner on the left hand side of attack when he'd be better off being down the centre?

It was good to see the manager change things at half time, but it was probably too little too late.

Another poor day at the office and now only Manchester United and Chelsea can win the league.
