Malaysia latest: Wenger on Cesc, Nasri, Gervinho and his left back options

Arsene Wenger has told a press conference in Malaysia that Cesc Fabregas will be an Arsenal player next season.

Wenger said:
"Cesc loves the club and hopefully we will manage. We know that this story for Barcelona has gone on for years now, we have to close that and focus on the season, hopefully with Cesc Fabregas."
The Arsenal manager has also stated that Samir Nasri will remain in north London to see out the final season of his contract, although the manager did not reveal whether his fellow countryman will sign a new deal with the club. This corrsponds with a story in L'Equipe.
Wenger said:
"Will he be at the club next season? I say yes. The second part (of the question) - will he sign a new contract? I hope yes, but I am not the only one to decide."
The Ivorian striker Gervinho will sign for the club today, according to Wenger, who said the Ivory Coast international would start pre-season training at London Colney.

Asked about his left back options for the coming season following the departure of Gael Clichy, Wenger said he would use Kieran Gibbs, Armand Traore and Thomas Vermaelen.
