Nasri off to Asia but Almunia and Bendtner axed

Arsene Wenger has named him 23-man squad to travel to Asia tomorrow.

It includes Samir Nasri but noticeable absentees are Manuel Almunia and Nicklas Bendtner.

Also missing are the injured Emmanuel Eboue, Abou Diaby, Lukasz Fabianski.

Youngsters listed in the first team squad who won't make the trip include the injured Craig Eastmond, Henri Lansbury who is still on holiday after England under-21 duty and Jay Emmanuel Thomas.

The manager said last night Cesc Fabregas wouldn't make the trip either.

Imminent signing Gervinho won't be on the plane either as his deal to join Arsenal won't be complete until Monday at the earliest.

The ommission of Almunia and Bendtner suggest that both could be leaving the club as neither are reported to be injured.

Arsene Wenger is due to speak to the press for the first time this summer on Monday.
