Aaron Ramsey limps out of Wales clash

It's being reported this evening that Aaron Ramsey has limped out of Wales match with Australia with a calf injury.

The 20-year-old Wales captain was forced to withdraw from the match at half time with commentators reporting a calf strain.

If initial reports are correct, it would leave the midfielder facing a race against time to be fit for Saturday's Premier League opener against Newcastle.

Nigel Adderley - who was covering the game for the BBC - reports Ramsey's substitution was a precaution and the player hopes to be fit in time to take to the field for Arsenal's first league game of the season.
