Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke delivers his first message to supporters

Majority shareholder Stan Kroenke has delivered his first message to Arsenal supporters.

The American sent a message to members of the Arsenal Independent Supporters Association which was relayed to those gathered at tonight's AGM.

The Billionaire, who purchased his controlling stake from the late Danny Fizsman and from Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith in May, had previously failed to speak to fans following his buyout.

However in tonight's statement he said he was looking forward to working with Arsenal fans to build on the club's solid foundations.

Kroenke's message said:
"I'm delighted and excited to be the majority shareholder of this great football club.
"My aim is to build on the traditions of the club and take us forward. The Arsenal Independent Supporters Association represents a large number of fans so your views are important to me.
"I know Ivan works hard to ensure we have a good on going relationship and I've asked for that to continue.
"I also share your desire for us to be successful on the pitch. This has been my goal for all my sports associations.
"I'm confident we'll have another terrific season ahead. I look forward to working with you as the season unfolds and thank you very much for your on going support."
