Szczesny the hero as van Persie and Walcott put Arsnel through

A second half penalty save from Wojciech szczesny and goals from Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott saw Arsenal progress to the group stages of the Champions League.

The Gunners went behind in the away leg to a Di Natale goal after the Italian forward got away from Johan Djourou and his looped header went over the head of Szczesny.

At half time it was 1-1 for the tie and Wenger opted to make an attacking change bringing off Emmanuel Frimpong and replacing him with Tomas Rosicky.

It was a piece of brillance which put Arsenal back on level terms. Gervinho beating his man and putting a cross in from the byline which Robin van Persie smashed home.

Theo Walcott added the Gunners second of the nigth. He beat his man on the left and powered forward. His shot beat the Udinese keeper at his near post.

Arsenal now go into the draw for the group stages which will take place tomorrow.
