Arsenal put three points on the board with nervy win

Arsenal secured their first Premier League win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Swansea.

Wenger handed starts to two of his deadline day signings. Mikel Arteta and Per Mertesacker coming into the starting line up.

The other three: Andre Santos, Yossi Benayoun and Park Chu Young had to happy with places on the bench.

Arshavin put the Gunners in the lead with 40 minutes gone after a goal keeping error by Michel Vorm.

Vorm released the ball but it hit one of his own players on the back.

The ball fell to the Russian who scored from a tight angle.

Yossi Benayoun came on with 25 minutes to go to make his Gunners debut.

Robin van Persie had a shot which cannoned off the post, one of the Gunners better effort of the second half.
