Kroenke won't axe Hill Wood and the rest of the Arsenal board

Members of the Arsenal board will not be sacked by majority shareholder Stan Kroenke, the Arsenal Supporters Trust (AST) have been told.

It had been wildly expected fresh blood and faces would be installed at the end of this season following the American's purchase of shares belonging to the late Danny Fizsman and Lady Nina Bracewell Smith.

As part of an agreement to sell their sells to Kroenke, members of the media had been briefed that all current board members including chairman Peter Hill Wood would keep their current posts on the board for one year.

However members off the AST have been informed that Kroenke could keep on the present board consisting of Chairman Hill-Wood along with chief executive Ivan Gazidis as well as Ken Friar, Sir Chips Keswick and Lord Harris of Peckham on past the agreed time scale.

Arsenal's second biggest shareholders Red and White Holdings do not have a seat on the Gunners board.
