Van Persie reveals players' team meeting following Old Trafford defeat

Robin van Persie has revealed the Arsenal players held talks following their 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford.

The Arsenal captain brought the players together following the club's biggest ever defeat since 1896.

In his programme notes for this afternoon's game with Swansea, Van Persie revealed:
"The Old Trafford defeat was hard for everyone of course, but we have spoken about it as a group, and when I look around the changing room this week I see everyone looks fresh and ready."
He added:
"It's like a new start for us this Saturday, and we need every single person to be together as a club - players, fans, staff - for the whole season. Whatever happens we need to stick together."
