Laughing at Spurs -Boro Primorac's Italian scouting mission -Joel Campbell's work permit

Morning Gooners.

I wake up every morning and flick through the news sites. More often than not since we went above Spurs into third place there is a story from one of their players saying how they're going to still finish above us. It's embarrassing to say the least. They had a 13 point gap on January 31. Now they're three points behind us. If I were a Spurs fan I'd feel deeply ashamed.

All their players still crowing about how they're going to finish above us considering where they've been - ahead of us for the vast majority of the season is deeply worrying. Are they deluded?  Luckily that's not my concern. I just thought I'd share as I do chuckle to myself each morning as I read those stories.

As for today, there isn't too much about. This is mainly because we've yet to hear from the boss about tomorrow's game - which will happen later.

What we do know is that Boro Primorac has been sent on a scouting mission to check out Riccardo Montolivo, the Italian defender playing for Fiorentina. The 27-year-old will be available on a free signing come the summer, so he certainly sounds like a player Arsene Wenger would be interested in. The Daily Mirror has the low down on this one.

Elsewhere, the Daily Express is reporting that the club will try it's hardest to persuade an FA panel to hand Joel Campbell a work permit for next season after his successful loan spell in France. The 19-year-old Costa Rican international has done well with Lorient in his 18 appearances. Plus he's scored two goals on international duty against Spain and Wales.

That's it for today. More tomorrow with whatever the manager says at the press conference plus a game of football at QPR.
