Cazorla's wasted Panama journey -Walcott "snubbed" by Arsenal -Tripple boost for NLD

Morning Gooners.

So the international friendlies are out of the way for another year. Below is a round-up of how the Arsenal players got on with their national teams.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere and Carl Jenkinson came on to the field and were part of an England team which shipped three Zlatan Ibrahimovic goals to lose their Stockholm friendly with Sweden.
Wilshere replaced Tom Cleverley after 62 minutes and Jenkinson came on to make his England debut, replacing Glen Johnson on 75 minutes when England were 2-1 up.
But Ibrahimovic scored three goals in 23 minutes to win the home team the game.

Per Mertesacker played the whole 90 minutes of Germany's goalless draw with Holand at the Amsterdam ArenA. Lukas Podolski was Germany coach Joachim Löw's first substitution of the night after 72 minutes replacing Mario Götze.

Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny stated in France's 2-1 win over Italy in Parma. The defender played 90 minutes while Arsenal's £12m summer signing was replaced after 63 minutes by Bafetimbi Gomis.

Santi Cazorla flew with the Spain squad all the way to Panama City for their international money spinner with Panama only to sit on the  bench for the whole game. Cazorla didn't get a second of game time. I guess the upside is at least he's not injured...

And as for Johan Djourou's involvement in Switzerland's game with Tunisia. I can't find any information.

Looking around the papers, the Daily Star says Arsenal have missed an ideal opportunity to sit down with Theo Walcott to discuss his contract, what with him having pulled out of international duty with England through injury.

I don't think for one second Arsenal snubbed Walcott. I think we all know in our hearts of hearts Walcott won't be an Arsenal player next season. And if contract talks weren't organised this week it was probably due to the fact either Walcott, his people or Arsenal and their people weren't available.

I'm sure Arsenal will be doing all they can to keep Theo. I hope they are.

Let's hope that Theo is available for Saturday's match. It appears that Theo, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs will be available for the game. We should get an update from the manager within the next 24 hours.

That's it for today. Back with more tomorrow.
