Is Higuain Arsenal bound? -Grenier's decision not down to wages -Wanyama wanted

Morning Gooners.

So England drew with  Brazil last night and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain found the back of the net... however like The Ox's dad, I was asleep. I was going to watch it, but international matches just depress me. And from what I was reading on Twitter, I didn't miss much.

On the transfer rumours front  today, we've got three gems to be keeping an eye on.

Gonzalo Higuain has put the world and his wife on alert after declaring he'll be leaving Real Madrid.

The striker said
"I am leaving Real Madrid, the decision has been made, I feel the time is right and I want a change of scenery.
"I have not decided where I will go, but the club already know that I want to go. It was my decision.
"I feel that this is the end of my cycle here. I came here for £10 million and I am leaving for more.
"I want to go where I can prove myself really. I have several offers. I hope that Madrid do the best for me and for themselves."

The Argentina international is more than likely going to end up at Juventus. But I wouldn't be surprised if Arsene Wenger hasn't been one of those people to put an offer to the 25-year-old.

He's a high quality calibre striker and one which the super rich clubs appear to be ruling out a bid for. Could we get a chance?

Elsewhere there is more smoke from the camp of Clement Grenier about where the Lyon midfielder is going to end up playing his football next seasoon.

Grenier's agent said
"If it was about the money, Clément would sign in Russia or China. His choice is a sportive choice.
"We 100% think about Lyon's project but Lyon don't have a 100% chance to keep Clément."

Does that push the ball in our direction? We're certainly not the biggest players around but we'd be a good place for him to step up as a player.

Aaron Ramsey has been on a promotional trip to Kenya and as is the way with these things, the local journalists were attempting to get a line which would localise the story for their readers.

There have been plenty of rumours about Kenyan international Victor Wanyama moving from Celtic to the Premier League this summer and that's what the local reporters asked Ramsey about. Whether he'd be turning up at the Grove.

He said:
"Of course, I don’t have a say on who joins us at the Emirates but if at all Arsenal get to sign Victor Wanyama, I will be the first to welcome him.
"I have watched him play for Celtic, I watched him score against Barcelona and I think he is a great player. Whether he will join us is for other people to decide.
"His name has been all over the British press. He is one player I have read many clubs in England are chasing and I have no doubt he has great talent if top clubs in England are interested in him."

I'd also welcome Wanyama to Arsenal. I think he's certainly a player who can offer us something we don't already have.

That's it for today. Back with more tomorrow.
