Wenger confirms Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil and Koscielny still two weeks away

· Match report   · Wenger's post match thoughts

Arsene Wenger has told the media he doesn't expect his quartet of injured first players to return to first team action for at least another two weeks.

Wenger had wanted to call on Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny sooner rather than later, but their recoveries are taking longer than was first thought.

It had been hoped that Ramsey would feature this weekend against Manchester City, but it appears his rehabilitation from a thigh injury is taking longer than expected. He last pulled on an Arsenal shirt in the 3-1 victory over West Ham United on Boxing Day.

Record signing Ozil is still recovering from the hamstring injury which he sustained in the opening two minutes of the Gunners Champions League clash against Bayern Munich in Germany 13 days ago.

Defender Koscielny picked up a calf injury against Chelsea in last weekend's 6-0 defeat was left out of the line up tonight.

And Wilshere has been out since the start of the month after picking up a foot injury against Stoke.
