Arsene wenger has identified Kim Kallstrom as one of the key players who could be vital in Arsenal's bid to secure a place in the top four this season.
The 31-year-old was signed on transfer deadline day in January but arrived at the club with a broken back.
It was 54 days later that Gooners were able to see the Swedish midfielder in the flesh as he was brought on in the 79th minute for Tomas Rosicky against Swansea City.
The introduction of Kallstrom made him the 820 player to represent Arsenal's first team and in his first appearance he made 14 passes, one cross, two tackles, one clearance and one foul in his 16 minute cameo.
Wenger wrote in his match day programme notes prior to the Manchester City game:
"Kim Kallstrom made his debut against Swansea and could be important for these final games.
"His role is to fill in and to give his best, which is what he is doing.
"He's a credit to his job because he has the experience, he has the quality and his attitude is fantastic."Kallstrom joined Arsenal on loan until the end of the season from the Russian side Spartak Moscow.
