Arsenal, Sky Sports and the Premier League show disregard for travelling Gooners

Arsenal has announced it's away fixture with Hull City is to be rearranged EIGHT days before the game was to take place.

The Gunner were due to face the Tigers in a 5.30pm kick off on Saturday week, which is being broadcast by Sky Sports.

However due to Chelsea being drawn to play away at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday April 22, the Gunners match has now been shifted to Sunday April 20, with a 2.05pm kick-off.

Chelsea will now play Sunderland in the Saturday 5.30pm kick off on the Saturday.

It means that travelling Gooners who have already paid for their travel to the KC Stadium will have to pay out again for the new date if their tickets are non-refundable/exchangeable.

In a statement, Arsenal said:
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our travelling supporters by the late change to this fixture which is completely out of the Club’s control."
There is no mention of covering the cost of travel for those left out of pocket by the change of date. We await with interest what  Arsenal, Sky Sports and the Premier League will do on this front.
