Arsene Wenger has tipped record signing Mesut Ozil to come good during his second season at the club.
The German, who has been out of action for the last five weeks after picking up a hamstring injury in the Gunners 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich last month, is expected back for Sunday's trip to fellow FA Cup finalists Hull City.
In his debut Premier League campaign, Ozil has failed to win over a section of Gooners and some believe has not warranted his £42.5million price tag.
However in 22 league appearances he's provided eight assists and scored four goals himself.
Wenger though believes Ozil will build on his first season in English football and become an even better player in his second.
The Arsenal boss told the media this morning:
"Ozil had a jaded period but I will put him on the list to be Player of the Season next season"Wenger will put Ozil through a fitness test before deciding whether to play him at the KC Stadium on Sunday.
The Arsenal manager provided a bulletin on the availability of some of his other stars when he spoke to the media earlier.
