Ray Parlour believes it's now time for the players to show they are capable of playing for Arsenal by winning the FA Cup this season.
The former Arsenal midfielder won nine major trophies with the club as a player but questions whether Arsene Wenger's players have given everything to win this season.
The Gunners have slumped in form in recent weeks, recording a single win in their last six league games.
And Parlour now believes it's the players who have to show they have what it takes to perform at the highest level.
He told the Daily Star:
"It's an opportunity for these players to step up. They have to ask themselves whether they could have done a bit more at times this season.
"Is there enough belief in that dressing room? Do they have that winning mentality? I played with good players who always had that. It's so important.
"It's a massive game. Arsenal are the favourites now to win the FA Cup. But they've still got to perform. It's a big week for them. They've got to bounce back.
"But you want to see more fight. If Arsenal play their A-game they will win but if they play like they did against Everton then Wigan have every chance of causing an upset."
