Arsene Wenger has been approached by a number of players who have requested the team do more work on tactics to curb their opponents, according to a report..
It is well documented that the Arsenal manager prefers to concern his players little with how the opposition play their game and instead focus on how his team will approach theirs.
The Daily Telegraph report "section of Wenger’s squad would like to do more work on the opposition and believe it could help them to start stronger when faced by the Premier League’s better teams".
Already this season Gooners have witnessed maulings at Manchester City and Chelsea where Wenger's sides conceded six goals and at Liverpool where five where shipped. Last weekend's game at Everton appears to have been the final straw, where Everton scored three without reply.
Getting Wenger to change his ways after 30 plus years in management would seem unlikely. He's seen a formula which has worked in the past and works against the lesser opposition.
But given what he's witnessed against the teams in the race for the Champions League positions and the title, he might give it some more thought than before.
