Ramsey and Koscielny expected to win in FA Cup fitness race

Injured duo Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny face a race against time to be fit to play in Arsenal's FA Cup semi final clash with Wigan.

The pair are the first of the Gunners injured quartet, which also includes record signing Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere, expected to make their come backs from injury.

Ramsey hasn't been seen on the pitch in an Arsenal shirt since the Boxing Day match with West Ham where he suffered a thigh stain which had been expected to keep him out for up to three weeks.

Manager Arsene Wenger said of the Welsh international's progress prior to the game with Manchester City last weekend:
"Ramsey is progressing well but we need to be patient for a few more weeks."
However it is expected that he could return to training today in a bid to be fit in time for the Wembley showdown in nine days time.

Meanwhile Koscielny is also expected to win his battle with a calf problem to be available for selection. The French defender hasn't played since coming off at half time in the Gunners defeat at Chelsea.
