Wenger faces midfield crisis after Arteta injured in FA Cup win

Arsene Wenger is facing a midfield crisis after it was revealed Mikel Arteta suffered a calf injury in Saturday's FA Cup semi final win.

The Spaniard played for the whole 120 minutes of the penalty shoot-out victory over Wigan but it is being reported he faces a battle to be fit for Tuesday night's Premier League game with West Ham.

The 32-year-old scored the Gunners first spot kick in their 4-2 penalties win which sent Arsene Wenger's side through to their first FA Cup final since 2005.

They'll face Hull City who beat Sheffield United 5-3 on Sunday.

With Mathieu Flamini sitting out the second game of his two match suspension and Aaron Ramsey suffering tightness in his muscles after only just returned to action from a 14 week injury lay off, Arteta's injury couldn't have come at a worse time.

Kim Kallstrom is almost certain to make his full Arsenal debut in the Emirates clash against Sam Allardyce's side and the Daily Mail report Tomas Rosicky is set to be passed fit for action following a thigh injury which kept him out of the FA Cup semi final.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also a concerned with a groin problem.
