Chelsea set to join the race to sign one of Arsenal's most consistent players

Chelsea are reportedly set to join the race to sign Bacary Sagna.

The Daily Star report the south London club are interested in signing the Frenchman on a free transfer when his contract with Arsenal expires at the end of June.

Sagna, 31, has been offered a three-year deal by Arsenal worth £80.000 a week. He wants £100,000 a week.

The Gunner's 2007 signing from Auxerre is also attracting interest from Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Galatasaray.

Arsenal's long-serving right-back could play his last game at Wembley before leaving in the summer after making 284 appearances.

It was notible on Sunday that Bacary Sagna asked club photographers Stuart MacFarlane and David Price to snap him and his children on the Emirates pitch.
